Ed to the Mac to the Mahon
Ed McMahon died recently, and his passing was overshadowed by the news around Michael Jackson. Much like MJ he died with financial troubles, but tried a unique way to help himself out of debt, by going the gangsta rap route.
Maybe he should've called on his Superhero friends to help him out with his finances.
RIP Mr. McMahon

The point is probably moot.
Today's comic is up http://www.gocomics.com/tinysepuku/ and the topic deals with what Mr. Springfield is singing about.

And while we have Rick Springfield on the brain, let's enjoy his 70's cartoon show intro.

Isis and the Freedom Force
I think the pitch meeting for the show went something like this:
Writer: "This cartoon is about superheroes that are based on legends and myths from around the world, Isis from ancient Egypt, Hercules from Greek myths, Merlin of Arthurian legend, Sindbad from Persian tales, and uh...something from Asia too."
Studio: "Greenlight this baby!"

Talking 80's Toys
What toy designer or executive thought Snoopy sounded like this?
"Ha! I kill me!"
I like how completely mesmerized these kids are by the Teddy Ruxpin. Like little cavemen gathering around the first fire.
I think this is something that needs to be revised and brought back.
When I was in college, there was this toy shop that was closing up and selling off all their inventory, including a shload of toys they couldn't sell over the years they were open. I must've bought like a couple of these Pee Wee dolls and two huge garbage bags full of other things, including several original Bart Simpson toys from the first season for like 20 or 30 bucks. If I kept them all in their original packages, I'm sure I would've made a nice profit today. However, being the idealist that I was back then I gave them all to Toys for Tots. Apparently I wasn't a follower of Ayn Rand back then.
Ok. Not an 80s toy, but it might as well have been considering it's kind of a cross between Alf and the Simpsons tv shows.

Social Networking Help For Your Parents
I added May comics to the tinysepuku.com website. So check it out.
So if you don't know, Archie McPhee is a cool shop filled with wacky junk. It just moved from my current neighborhood to its new location in my old neighborhood. They produce and sell stuff like this:
Anyway, they put out this amusing little thing about social networks and seniors:
The funny thing is, it was my Dad that told me about Twitter...but he's way hipper than I'll ever be.

First Post on Blogger
On advice from a friend, I'm expanding the blog I already have to Blogger. So I'll be posting the same random junk, just on a more open site than the other one. I tried getting "tinysepuku" but someone else used it and it was removed, hence the http://tinysepukublog.blogspot.com/
I hope you enjoy my foray into the late 90's/early 00's bloggin'. If you want to see older posts, then please visit Tiny's MySpace blog archive blogs.myspace.com/tinysepuku. Cheers.
